Join us Thursday, June 19th at 10am PT / 1pm ET for the second plenary in this series: Testimonies of Resistance from Indigenous Voices. This webinar will feature Sarah Augustine, Founder and Director of the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery and author of So We and Our Children May Live; together with Josias Viera, a black pastor of Kaeté indigenous ancestry, working with the Baptist Church in Coqueiral, Brazil and Founder of the We in Creation Movement, a movement of Christian environmentalists who seek to build Decolonial Christian Eco-theology. Sarah and Josias will discuss the connections between racism, colonialism, and ecological devastation in their contexts, the resistance to the climate crisis in their communities, and the role they see the Church can play in addressing racial and climate justice.
